The Swan Plastics History
Swan Plastics is a proud Australian family business with a long history in innovation. In 1958, the Company’s founder, Maurice Monk, created the design of the first Ticket Wallet for Thomas Cook Travel, based on the wallet design of the company’s first customer, the State Savings Bank. Not long after the Ticket Wallet, came the design for a Bag Tag – a design that is still available today!
Swan Plastics is still owned and run by the same family. Maurice’s son, David Monk, came into the business over 30 years ago. Swan is now a leading player not only in the Travel Industry, but across such diverse markets such as Pharmaceutical, AgChem Labelling and Retail Point-of-Sale products.
